THE ORIGIN
Our sneakers were born amidst a bustling airport. When a striking pair of beaded shoes and a vibrant golf cart adorned with Pakistan art were caught insight.
While surrounded by the serene Karakorams of Pakistan, the thought of these unrelated moments unexpectedly merged. Jhooms was born. The name is inspired by the Sufi word jhoom meaning ‘transcend’. Because these distinct instances transcended into something culturally rich and truly beautiful.

Meet the Original Jhoomer
Yesenia, a Mexican American from California, found herself in unfamiliar territory upon moving to Pakistan. In her first year, she grappled with the nuances of language, city life, and culture.
Amidst the challenges, she discovered a profound love for Pakistan that she couldn't have anticipated. She wondered why such a vibrant place remained unknown to many Americans, including herself. Yesenia wished to share the transformative journey she experienced. This revelation sparked the birth of Jhooms.
Yesenia's vision for Jhooms is to inspire others who, like her, are curious enough to take a chance on the unknown. It all begins with a simple pair of sneakers—a symbol of courage, adventure, and the limitless possibilities that await beyond one's comfort zone.
